In a bold move to prioritize the health and well-being of Nigerians, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, the presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is championing a nationwide healthcare initiative designed to bring quality medical services closer to the people. Anchored on his firm belief that “a healthy people is a healthy nation, and a healthy nation is a wealthy nation,” the ADC presidential hopeful has launched a series of free medical outreach programs across the country.

The first phase of this ambitious healthcare program commenced in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and is set to expand to other states beginning 10th- 13th 2026. The initiative underscores Hon. Nwajiuba’s commitment to improving public health, particularly for vulnerable populations who may have limited access to essential healthcare services.

Inspired by his healthcare philosophy, the Nwajiuba Solidarity Movement organized a free medical outreach at the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja on 24th February 2026. The program drew members, staff, and invited guests, all of whom received free medical consultations, check-ups, and treatments at zero cost. This move reflects a growing trend among Nigerian political leaders to prioritize healthcare accessibility as part of their policy agendas.

During the Abuja outreach, the medical team attended to sixty-eight (68) participants, addressing common health challenges such as malaria, typhoid, and ulcer, while also conducting critical screenings for HIV, AIDS, blood sugar levels, and hepatitis. The initiative not only provided immediate medical attention but also helped raise awareness about preventive healthcare and the importance of early detection of diseases.

“The health of our citizens is paramount. No nation can achieve true prosperity if its people are unwell,” said Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba during the outreach. “Our health-first agenda is designed to ensure that every Nigerian has access to basic medical care, irrespective of their socio-economic background.”

The success of the Abuja outreach has set the tone for the subsequent state-level programs, with the medical team scheduled to continue services on 25th February 2026, ensuring that more Nigerians benefit from free healthcare services. The ADC and the Nwajiuba Solidarity Movement have expressed their commitment to making healthcare a central pillar of their 2026 presidential campaign, emphasizing that public health is not just a policy issue but a moral obligation to every citizen.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba to integrate healthcare accessibility into national development plans. By bringing medical services directly to the people, the ADC candidate hopes to demonstrate a model of people-centered governance that prioritizes wellness, preventive care, and community engagement.

As the ADC health-first outreach program continues to roll out across Nigeria, citizens from various states are encouraged to participate, access free medical services, and take advantage of this opportunity to receive professional healthcare support without financial burden. Hon. Nwajiuba’s commitment reflects a growing recognition that public health is the backbone of national prosperity, making this initiative a critical step toward building a healthier and wealthier Nigeria.
