The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially launched its nationwide membership registration drive in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure ahead of the 2027 general elections. At the flag-off ceremony, the party announced that both online and manual registration systems will be used to ensure broad participation, especially in areas with limited internet access, and that each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will initially receive at least 50,000 membership cards to distribute to registrants.
ADC National Chairman Senator David Mark described the registration exercise as a foundational step toward victory and encouraged Nigerians to register as bona fide members, noting that membership cards will be mandatory for anyone seeking to contest elections under the party’s platform. Online registration carries a fee of ₦500 per person, with annual dues set at the same amount, while manual registration will assist areas with network challenges. State chairmen from across the country attended the event and pledged vigorous mobilization for the campaign.
In summary, the ADC’s launch of its membership drive marks a strategic push to expand its base, increase electoral preparedness, and solidify its presence nationally as it prepares for future political contests. Q
